The Tasmania JackJumpers are excited to celebrate an extraordinary achievement as Clint Steindl prepares to hit his 350th NBL game this Sunday in the team’s clash against the Perth Wildcats. A seasoned veteran, Steindl’s career has been marked by his unwavering leadership, dedication, and ability to deliver under pressure.

Since joining the JackJumpers in 2021/22 as the club’s first-ever captain, Steindl has become the heart and soul of the team. His leadership was pivotal in guiding the club to its NBL24 championship victory, and Head Coach Scott Roth has nothing but praise for his captain: “Clint’s been a key figure in this franchise from the start. I’ve known him for years, and bringing him here was one of my top priorities. He’s a tremendous leader, both on and off the court. Clint’s professionalism and character are second to none. He’s played a huge part in shaping our club and culture, and I’m proud to have him as my captain.”

Born in Mackay and having attended the Australian Institute of Sport, Steindl’s basketball journey took him from Saint Mary’s College in the US to a series of NBL teams, including the Cairns Taipans, Townsville Crocodiles, and Perth Wildcats, where he won two championships. In his first season with the JackJumpers, Steindl made history as the club’s inaugural captain and quickly became known for his leadership, composure, and ability to make an impact when it mattered most.

Reflecting on his 350-game milestone, Steindl shared, “The best part of playing 350 games has been the opportunity to share it with the people who matter most to me. When I started, it was my wife, parents, and sister by my side. Now, I’m able to share this journey with my kids, and their perspective has given me a whole new outlook. Being able to hit this milestone with my family and teammates in a JackJumpers jersey is something I’ll always cherish.”

Steindl’s ability to consistently perform at a high level, combined with his leadership qualities, have made him one of the most respected figures in the NBL. At 35, he continues to be a key player for the Tasmania JackJumpers, and his journey has been an inspiration for both his teammates and fans alike. Roth praised Steindl’s longevity and influence, stating, “Clint’s been a fantastic role model for everyone in the club. His work ethic, dedication, and leadership are things we all admire, and I couldn’t be prouder of what he’s accomplished in his career.”

The Tasmania JackJumpers are thrilled to celebrate Clint Steindl’s 350-game milestone this Sunday, as he continues to inspire the team and the broader basketball community with his passion, determination, and commitment to excellence.
