Tasmania JackJumpers are pleased to announce guard Isaac White will become the JackJumpers’ 4th Development Player following recent changes to the NBL rules and regulations.

The 24-year-old has impressed since signing with the club as a Nominated Replacement Player in place of Clint Steindl in early August.

“We’re really pleased with how Isaac has fitted into the group, our systems and the Tasmanian way of life. He really has taken the opportunity with both hands and we’re excited that he will be with us for the entire NBL season” Head Coach Scott Roth said.

“We believe he will be a real asset for us off the bench. We always knew his offensive game was excellent, but his defensive tenacity is really developing well also”.

White said he was excited to continue to grow with a great group of people and a supportive community.

“I’ve absolutely loved my time with the JackJumpers so far, it’s been an incredible few months learning what this State is all about and being embraced by the club and fans” White said.

“It’s great to have some assurance that I’m here for the longer term and I’m really excited about what this group can achieve this season”.

White has spent the past two NBL seasons with the Illawarra Hawks after graduating from Stanford University in 2020.

The JackJumpers have now filled all four available Development Player spots with emerging talents Sean Macdonald, Isaac White, Josh Tomasi and Walter Brown.

The Tasmania JackJumpers will open the 2022/23 NBL season against South East Melbourne Phoenix this Saturday, October 1 at John Cain Arena.
