Inaugural Season Memberships - FAQs

The wait is nearly over! 
We are excited to bring you the chance to join the Ant Army!
As the Tasmania JackJumpers prepare to join the Hungry Jack's National Basketball League in season 2021/2022, memberships for our inaugural season will soon be available. Please find below some answers to your frequently asked questions:

When will memberships go on sale? 
• Memberships will be available for purchase from Tuesday 22 June at 9.00am.

What about Foundation Members? Will we get priority access? 
• Yes! As our way of thanking those who supported us from the very start, Foundation Members will receive access to an exclusive window to purchase memberships from Wednesday 16 June at 9.00am.

What are my membership options, for memberships that include tickets? 
• We offer four tiers of membership – Emerald, Gold, Silver and Bronze. 
   • 12 game memberships to MyState Bank Arena in Hobart
   • 2 game memberships to the Silverdome in Launceston
   • 14 game memberships to include all our home games in Tasmania – 12 at MyState Bank Arena and 2 at the Silverdome.
   • 6 game memberships – 5 at MyState Bank Arena and 1 at the Silverdome.
• Memberships will be available for adults, juniors, concessions and families (2 adults and 2 juniors, or 2 adults and 3 juniors).

Where will the JackJumpers games be played?
• The JackJumpers will call the MyState Bank Arena home for 12 of our 14 home games.
• Our second home venue will be the Silverdome in Launceston, where 2 games will be played. These games will be finalized when the fixture is announced.
• If you purchase a 6-game membership, we will communicate to you when you can select which games you would like to attend after the fixture has been announced.

I’m a Foundation Member and I was told I could choose my seat; how can I do this? 
• Everyone will be able to choose their seat from our interactive seating map. Foundation Members will be offered a 5-day pre-sale period to make sure they get their choice of the best seats.  
• The redevelopment of the MyState Bank Arena is not yet complete, which means that we won’t be able to provide a tour of the arena prior to memberships going on-sale.  Once the redevelopment is complete, we will be organizing tours for our Foundation Members, you’ll get to see all the behind-the-scenes action and start to warm up your seat. 
• Make sure you choose a good one, as this will be your seat for every year you choose to renew your JackJumpers Membership. (Don’t worry – amendments possible by contacting your friendly membership team.)

I want to sit with my friends, can I do this?
• To ensure you can sit next to your friends you will need to purchase multiple memberships in the same transaction. You can either pay with multiple credit cards, or you can make the first payment on one card and we can then create individually membership accounts and set up individual payment plans. Alternatively, if you purchase individual memberships, you can email us at membership@jackjumpers.com.au and we can try and relocate your seats together. 

How can I pay for my JackJumpers Membership? 
• Payment for your JackJumpers Memberships can be made in one of two ways:
     o Upfront Payment – membership can be paid in one upfront installment using Visa or Mastercard. 
    o Monthly Installments – memberships can be paid in nine monthly installments (June – February) using Visa or Mastercard. 
• You can purchase a membership and join a monthly payment plan at any stage throughout the season.  An initial payment will be taken upon purchasing, which includes any catch-up payment amount to bring your membership payments up to date.  
   o For example, if you purchase in August you will be asked to pay the installments from June and July upfront, as well as the August payment. Then you will join the payment plan and pay monthly installments for the remaining months (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan & Feb.)
• Both payment plans are part of our auto-renewal payment methods, to learn more about this, head to our terms & conditions.  

Can I pay cash? 
• Unfortunately not. Please refer to the above listed options for payment, listed above. 

Can I come in to the JackJumpers office to purchase? 
• We do not have the facilities to process payments in-person. Payments can be made online. If you are experiencing any difficulties then please ring our membership team who will be happy to help you. 

Do I get a membership card? I can’t wait to go into the Nest, how am I going to get in?
• The JackJumpers and MyState Bank Arena are going digital, which means you will get a mobile membership card to access games. You will be able to download your tickets straight to your phone, and use this to scan into games.  

Why are you going digital? 
• In a modern world we no longer need membership cards to scan into games, using your phone to scan in is a simple & easy process! 
• To comply with COVID-19 policies all events are now requiring members to scan in on a mobile device instead of using a membership card, which will ensure a contactless entry and the ability to contract trace all of those in attendance. 
• This also means it’s even easier to forward a ticket to friends/family if you can’t attend.  
• If you don’t have a smart phone, or access to emails there will be alternative options. Please contact us at membership@jackjumpers.com and we will help you out.  

What else do I get as part of my membership?
• Every member of our Ant Army will receive “Jack’s Pack” to ensure our supporters are part of the action.
• This will include an exclusive members cap, bumper sticker, plus exclusive invitations to member events and discounts with partners and JackJumpers merchandise… details still to come! 

When will I receive my “Jack’s Pack”?
• You can expect to receive your Jack’s Pack within 3-4 weeks of your purchase. 
 
What if I can’t go to every game?
• Don’t worry, you’ll be able to share your seat with a friend... just be careful, they might not want to give it back!
  
What if games are cancelled due to Covid-19?
• The Club will endeavor to honour all ticketing entitlements included in each membership; however, the Club cannot guarantee that there will be 14 home games and take no responsibility should government restrictions mandate a change to member seats including seat location.  
• Should the Club not be able to honour 14 home games for season members only, the season member may be entitled to a pro-rata refund.
• Refund amounts will be pro rata, based on the number of home games left in the season less a reasonable administrative fee if the member pack has been issued (Refund Amount). This amount is anticipated to be $30.

Why can’t I buy the same family configuration as I did my Foundation Membership?
• As Foundation Memberships were a non-ticketed product, we could bundle different configurations together to make checking out easier for customer.  Now that we have transitioned to ticketed memberships, we will only be offering two different family configurations.  A family of 4 (2 Adults, 2 Juniors) and a family of 5 (2 Adults, 3 Juniors).  Should you wish to purchase additional Adult or Junior memberships, once you have added your family product to your cart, you can navigate back to the home screen, and then choose additional memberships to purchase.

Who is eligible for a Junior membership?
• Junior Memberships can be purchased for children aged 14 years & under as of 1 January 2021 (born after 1 January 2007). Proof of age must accompany the purchase or application for membership, if not already on file. Proof of age can be supplied in the form of a birth certificate, passport or letter from the child’s school on official school letterhead signed by an authorised representative. Memberships will not be issued until proof of age is supplied.

What family memberships are being offered?
• A family membership consists of either two adults and two children aged under 14 years, or two adults and three children aged 14 or under. Should the family have additional adults or children to add to the group, these will be purchased as a standard adult or junior membership.
