JackJumpers add size with Forsyth and Tomasi
Tasmania JackJumpers are pleased to announce the signing of 6’10 centre Tristan Forsyth as a Nominated Replacement Player ahead of the 2022/23 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.
Forsyth has spent the last two seasons as a Development Player with South East Melbourne Phoenix, where he played four games in each of the NBL21 and NBL22 seasons.
“Tristan is a fantastic athlete and gives us some additional size and comes with NBL experience” Head Coach Scott Roth said.
“I think Tristan can really help on both sides of the ball, in particular pick and roll situations with our guards, Josh Magette and Milton Doyle”.
Forsyth will be the Nominated Replacement Player for Will Magnay as he recovers from a knee injury.
“Will is a few weeks behind where we hoped he’d be, but having Tristan here gives some give us some insurance as we give Will as much time as he needs to recover fully” Roth said.
The JackJumpers have also signed 20-year-old Josh Tomasi as a Development Player from the club’s inaugural DP Trials earlier this month.
Tomasi grew up in Melbourne and played two years with St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, where he was a force in the paint.
“We’re really thrilled to have selected Josh from the trials. They were highly competitive and we saw some incredible talent that really excited us for the future”.
“Josh is an emerging talent and we are excited about what he can bring, especially day-to-day. We’re in for some very competitive practices which will only benefit us during the season” Roth said.
