JackJumpers Assistant Jarrad Weeks extends contract

The Tasmania JackJumpers are thrilled to announce that Assistant Coach Jarrad Weeks has extended his contract with the club, continuing his role until at least the end of the 2026/27 NBL Season.
Weeks joined the coaching staff ahead of the NBL24 season, after retiring from a decorated 254 game playing career across 5 NBL clubs.
He has since played an instrumental role in fostering the development of both emerging and established players.
The former JackJumpers vice-captain has been invaluable with his deep knowledge of the game, coupled with his ability to connect with the players.
“Jarrad’s commitment to our culture and his transition from player to coach has been nothing short of outstanding. His understanding of the game, combined with his leadership and work ethic, makes him a crucial part of our coaching team.
We’re excited to have him and his family continue his journey in Tasmania and with the club” Head Coach Scott Roth said.
Weeks, together with wife Michelle and children Freddie and Ella, are thrilled to extend their time with the JackJumpers.
“I’ve loved being on the other side of the high-performance team and working with some of the best coaches in the League” Weeks said.
“My family and I are thrilled to continue our time here in Tasmania, a place we now proudly call home.
Weeks is also currently preparing for his first season as Head Coach of the Hobart Chargers Men’s team in the NBL1 South.
