JackJumpers Continue Sell-Out Streak, Setting New Standards in Australian Sport
The Tasmania JackJumpers have once again demonstrated their status as Tasmania's premier sporting team, achieving an incredible 50th consecutive home game sellout at MyState Bank Arena, with an additional eight sellouts at the Silverdome. This achievement underscores the immense support of the Ant Army and the community's passion for basketball.
JackJumpers' owner Larry Kestelman commended the team's extraordinary impact:
“The JackJumpers are an incredible story for Tasmania. The public has embraced the team, they love it. This record of sellouts shows there’s demand for the product, and we hope the government continues to invest in venues, especially compared to what’s being allocated to AFL.” told Newscorp.
Christine Finnegan, CEO for the JackJumpers, celebrated the milestone: “Our sold-out games are a testament to the unwavering support of our fans from every corner of the island. Defending the Island is our mission, and we’re proud to represent and unite Tasmanians through our games. The passion and loyalty of the Ant Army create an atmosphere that’s unmatched, and we look forward to continuing to grow this incredible basketball community together.”
The ongoing sellout streak highlights the club’s growing popularity and the significance of basketball in Tasmania’s sporting landscape.
