The Tasmania JackJumpers were defeated 105-73 by the Perth Wildcats at MyState Bank Arena on Sunday. After a strong overtime win against Adelaide on Friday, the JackJumpers struggled to replicate their performance in the face of a clinical Wildcats side.

Perth’s Bryce Cotton led the way with 32 points, nine assists, and seven three-pointers, including 15 points in the opening six minutes to give the Wildcats an early advantage. Tasmania worked hard to contain Cotton but was unable to limit his impact, particularly in the first half, where Perth scored 64 points and built a 22-point lead.

The JackJumpers found it difficult to establish rhythm on offense, shooting 34% from the field and 7/26 from three-point range. Jordon Crawford contributed 16 points and three assists, while Milton Doyle added 15 points and four assists. Anthony Drmic also chipped in with 14 points, and Gorjok Gak contributed eight points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Perth maintained control throughout, capitalizing on their efficiency and strong rebounding, where they held a 10-rebound advantage. Dylan Windler (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Keanu Pinder (10 points) supported Cotton in a balanced team performance.

Despite the loss, the JackJumpers can take some positives from the weekend, splitting two games against quality opposition in a short turnaround. The team will look to address areas of improvement ahead of their next game against the New Zealand Breakers on Thursday at Spark Arena.
