JackJumpers Gear Up for Pre-Season Showdown in Tasmania’s North

The Tasmania JackJumpers are set to ignite their pre-season preparations with the Bulk Nutrients Pre-Season Camp in Tasmania’s North and North West from August 23 to 28.

Tasmania’s passionate North and North West fan base will also get a taste of NBL action when the JackJumpers host the Adelaide 36ers in two pre-season practice games. These games, presented by Balls n Bumpers, are scheduled for Sunday, August 25, at the Ulverstone Sports and Leisure Centre, and Tuesday, August 27, at the Elphin Sports Centre in Launceston. Both games will tip off at 6:00 pm.

“We’re delighted to be headed back to the State’s north for another pre-season camp. Our fans in the North and North West are among the most passionate in Australia and we genuinely love getting up there and into the community,” General Manager of Commercial and Marketing Alex Edgar said.

Mika Vukona, General Manager, added, “We’re excited to have the Adelaide 36ers and it’ll be a great opportunity to test the squad against quality opposition and solidify our first block of pre-season training. It’s always great to showcase NBL-level basketball to fans across the North of the state and engage with the passionate fan base up there.”

JackJumpers members will have first priority to pre-season practice game tickets when the presale opens at 11:00 am on Monday, August 5, until 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 6. Any remaining tickets will be released for general public sale at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 6.

The Tasmania JackJumpers will also hold several community events, including basketball clinics, club, and school visits during the 6-day camp. CEO Christine Finnegan remarked, “Being on the road for the pre-season really helps the group bond, but it is also a really important opportunity to connect with our fan base and inspire people of all ages.”
