JackJumpers put Tassie on their back as NBL24 jersey revealed

The Tasmania JackJumpers will don the Apple Isle map on the back of both the home and away jersey in the 2023/24 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.

The new jerseys will be revealed on Friday morning and will be available for sale via the Official NBL Store and Official JackJumpers Store from September 7.

“We’re really proud to represent the people of Tasmania and having the map on the back of the jersey is a special addition to this year’s jerseys” Co-CEO Christine Finnegan said.

“Whether you think about it as all of Tasmania is behind us, or we’re putting Tasmania on our back and bringing them on this journey, we think there’s some great synergies there”.

This season’s away jersey also takes on a new colour scheme with the JackJumpers to wear a predominantly yellow kit on the road.

The home uniform remains the iconic Tasmanian green, but this season features a pin strip of ants on both the jersey and the shorts, as well as bold yellow ants down the sides.

“The ants on the home uniform represent our ant army of members and supporters, and our march towards Tasmania’s first NBL championship” Finnegan said.

The NBL24 uniforms design process was lead by JackJumpers Operations Executive Jack Soward, in consultation with the team, staff and uniform partner, First Ever.

Perhaps the most special feature is the inclusion of a small ‘Defend the Island’ slogan above the Champion brand on the bottom of both jerseys.  

“Our entire club is underpinned by the ‘Defend the Island’ motto and we feel it’s become synonymous with the JackJumpers, so we’re really proud to have that in print sublimated into the jersey ” Finnegan said.   

The 2023/24 Tasmania JackJumpers home and away on court range will be available at  nblstore.com.au and shop.jackjumpers.com.au from 10.00am Thursday 7 September.
