The Tasmania JackJumpers extend their gratitude to Jacob Richards for his contributions during the 2023/24 NBL season. Jacob has been a key part of our team, and his presence will be missed by both the club and the Tasmanian community.

Richards joined the JackJumpers as a Development Player after two years of practicing with the team. His dedication and work ethic have been exemplary.

"Jacob has been an invaluable member of our squad," Head Coach Scott Roth said. "His commitment and ability to challenge and support his teammates made him an integral part of our success. While it’s hard to see him go, we know he will excel in his future endeavours."

Jacob was actively involved in community events, always eager to connect with fans. His passion for basketball and representing Tasmania resonated deeply with everyone he met.

General Manager Mika Vukona added, "Jacob’s perseverance and dedication have been instrumental to our team. His positive influence both on and off the court has set a high standard for what it means to be a JackJumper."

During his time with the JackJumpers, Richards became a beloved community figure. His efforts off the court, from community events to engaging with fans, have left a lasting impact.

"It’s been a dream come true to be part of this program," Richards said. "The support from the team and the community has meant the world to me."

As we bid farewell to Jacob Richards, we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
