Mikhailovskii returns home
Tasmania JackJumpers have parted ways with NBL Next Star Nikita Mikhailovskii under a mutual agreement between Nikita, the Hungry Jack’s NBL and the club.
Following extensive discussions, all parties have agreed it is in Nikita’s best interests to return home and he will be released from his contract.
“JackJumpers coaches and players have worked extensively with Nikita to improve his basketball and he has made some significant gains while he’s been with us, both on and off court,” CEO Simon Brookhouse said.
“We hope Nikita has thoroughly enjoyed his time in Tasmania, and we wish him the very best in what we expect will be a successful and rewarding career.”
Hungry Jack’s NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger thanked Mikhailovskii for his efforts.
“We sincerely hope to see Nikita’s basketball career flourish as he is a tremendously skilled and gifted young player. We thank him for being part of the Next Stars program and hope he valued his time in the NBL,” he said.
“We trust the skills Nikita has developed whilst with the JackJumpers will hold him in good stead for the future.”
