State of Play
Following an epic Semi-Final series in NBL22 which saw the JackJumpers progress to the Grand Final series, Tasmania have had the mantel over United this season, continuing the to dominate the battle of Bass Strait with six wins from their last seven meetings.
Both United and the JackJumpers are coming off big wins on New Years Day and are almost back to full strength.
United sit in 8th on the ladder and will be desperate to get their season back on track and avoid slipping further away from the top 6. The JackJumpers have shot up to 4th on the table.
United have been undermanned both times the sides have met this season, but the clash will be the ultimate test with both sides back to full strength.

TASMANIA JACKJUMPERS 94 (Doyle 23, McVeigh 17, Macdonald 14)
MELBOURNE UNITED 90 (Tucker 23, Goulding 21, Rathan-Mayes 20)
The Tasmania JackJumpers took the very best shots from Melbourne United's star backcourt trio and despite trailing virtually all evening, showed their trademark grit and snatched a 94-90 Saturday night victory.
United all but led from start to finish, pushing out to as much as a 13 point lead in the 2nd quarter.
Milton Doyle delivered two massive finishes in the final minute, including converting one into a three-point play to give Tasmania its first lead since he scored the game's first basket. That proved enough for the JackJumpers to snatch the win in the ultimate display of their never-say-die attitude.
SRT Coaches’ take
Head Coach Scott Roth said “United are back to full strength so they’re quite dangerous. They’re lurking there in the play offs hunt. We’re expecting their best and with having Ili back and their roster intact now they’ve won 5 of their last 7 so we’ll definitely have our hands full”.
