Roth to remain in Tasmania until 2027
The Tasmania JackJumpers are pleased to announce Head Coach Scott Roth will finish his professional coaching career in Tasmania having inked a contract extension to remain in the role until the end of the 2026/27 NBL season.
The club and Scott Roth have agreed to activate the mutual option on his existing contract, plus a further one year extension to see Roth stay in Tasmania until the end of 2026/27.
“We’re pleased to announce Scott’s commitment to the club for the next 3 seasons and to continue to build sustained success for the club both on and off the court” CEO Christine Finnegan said.
“Scott’s new contract gives us stability as the club grows beyond its infancy and supports the very positive discussions around new ownership.
“Scott’s coaching record speaks for itself, but it is also the work he has done off the court contributing to all pillars of our business that have contributed to this decision.
“Participation, corporate, member and fan engagement are at an all-time high, and continue to grow, and we are very grateful to Scott for the role he has played in this so far and will continue to do so into the future” Finnegan said.
The extension has the full support of SRT Logistics as the partner of the coaching group.
“We’re excited to have ‘Scott Roth’s Team’ at the helm of the club’s High Performance and to have the support of a proud Tasmanian company like SRT.
Managing Director Rob Miller has been a strong support to Scott and his family, both personally and professionally” Finnegan said.
Tasmania JackJumpers are currently 3rd on the NBL ladder ahead of Round 16, when the JackJumpers will host Melbourne United this Friday night.
