Tasmania JackJumpers Finalise NBL 25 Roster with the Addition of Development Players
The Tasmania JackJumpers are thrilled to announce the final two signings for the NBL 25 season, completing the team’s roster with the addition of Archie Woodhill and Nicholas Stoddart as Development Players. Both players will also be joining the University of Tasmania (UTAS) Athlete Development Program, a holistic initiative designed to support their growth both on and off the court.
Archie Woodhill, a forward/centre with prior experience at the Sydney Kings, and Nicholas Stoddart, a standout guard from the Ballarat Miners in NBL1 South, bring fresh talent and energy to the JackJumpers. These signings reflect the club’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent and ensuring a strong future for the team.
In addition to their basketball development, Woodhill and Stoddart will benefit from the UTAS Athlete Development Program. This program encompasses a wide range of support services, including one-on-one financial courses, life skills training, and access to mentorship from university lecturers and study buddies. The initiative aims to equip these young athletes with the tools they need to succeed both on the court and in life.
"We're extremely proud to integrate Archie and Nick into our roster and the UTAS Athlete Development Program," said Mika Vukona, General Manager of Basketball Operations. "This program is something we’ve been working hard to develop, as it provides a parallel pathway for our players to grow as individuals while they pursue their basketball careers. It's about preparing them for life beyond basketball, ensuring they have the skills and education to thrive in any arena."
With these final roster spots filled, the Tasmania JackJumpers are poised for a competitive season, committed to excellence on the court and the holistic development of their players.
