The Tasmania JackJumpers are proud to celebrate the holiday season with meaningful initiatives supporting Tasmanians in need. This year, proceeds from the Christmas Uniform Auction will go directly to The Salvation Army Tasmania, assisting their efforts to provide vital support during this challenging time of year.

As part of the festive season, the Minister for Sport and Events, Nick Duigan, has gifted The Salvation Army a corporate box for the Christmas Day game on 25th December. This gesture will allow individuals or families who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend to enjoy an unforgettable game-day experience.

Christmas Uniform Auction

This year’s auction is especially significant, as it marks the first-ever NBL Christmas Day game where both the Tasmania JackJumpers and the BNZ Breakers will wear Christmas uniforms.

Fans can bid on game-worn JackJumpers Christmas uniforms, with all proceeds going to The Salvation Army. The BNZ Breakers’ Christmas uniforms will also be available for auction, adding further excitement to the initiative.

Additionally, JackJumpers player Sean Macdonald has generously offered his game-worn shoes for auction, contributing to the cause.

Darren Smith, COO of the Tasmania JackJumpers, said:

"The JackJumpers are proud to support our community during the festive season. The funds raised through the Christmas Uniform Auction will help The Salvation Army make a real difference for Tasmanians in need. We’re grateful to our fans and partners for joining us in this important effort."

Stacey Milbourne, The Salvation Army Tasmania Emergency Relief Manager, said:

The Salvation Army is extremely grateful to work with the JackJumpers on this initiative. This support will enable us to reach even more Tasmanians facing hardship and provide much-needed assistance during the Christmas season."
