The Tasmania JackJumpers Group Placement and Hall of Fame Ceremony Update for FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024

Following our exciting announcement about the Tasmania JackJumpers' historic participation in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024, we are pleased to share further details regarding the tournament and additional events.

The 34th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup will be held from September 12-15 at the Singapore Sports Hub. The Tasmania JackJumpers are placed in Group B, where we will compete against Quimsa from Argentina and NBA G League United from the USA in a round-robin format. The winners of each group will advance to the Final on September 15, while the runners-up will play for third place, and the third-place teams will vie for fifth overall.

In addition to the tournament, the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2024 enshrinement ceremony will occur on September 14, the eve of the Final. This prestigious event will honour basketball legends such as Reggie Miller, Predrag Stojakovic, and New Zealand’s Kirk Samuel Penney, celebrating their contributions to the sport and highlighting the global nature of this year's competition.

The latest team to secure their spot in the tournament is Lebanon's Al Riyadi, the inaugural champions of the Basketball Champions League Asia. They join an esteemed lineup of continental champions, including Petro de Luanda from Angola, Unicaja from Spain, and Quimsa from Argentina.
